Is engineered quartz expensive? Some green-hands of engineered quartz stone frequently ask this kind of question. Normally we set quartz prices based on quartz patterns and colors, with different thickness. That means there are two factors to decide our quartz quotations to our clients. They are quartz patterns and quartz slab thickness. To be first, we manufacture quartz slabs mainly with thickness choices of 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, 30mm and possible other customized thickness. Since 12mm is hard to realize, we normally make same original thickness of quartz slabs to realize target thickness of 12mm and 15mm. So these 2 thickness choices have same prices from us. For other thickness, the thicker the quartz slab is, the higher its price. Based on same thickness of each quartz slab, the price depends on its pattern. The cheapest patterns of quartz are basic designs like starlight white, black, beige or other colors. And the quartz patterns with small or big grain are a little more expensive than these basic colors, like snow powder, luna white, cobble white, white diamond, etc. Then more expensive choices of quartz patterns are copied colors to natural marbles, like Carrara white, calacatta white, staturio marble and calacatta gold. Moreover, we manufacture some luxurious designs of quartz slabs or 3-D printed quartz slabs with full body veins, which are the top expensive quartz collections now. You may ask why these marble colors and printed quartz patterns are more expensive than those basic choices. The reasons are their production efficiency. Actually, different quartz colors use similar amount of raw materials, but those expensive quartz colors are very slow to manufacture, which needs more labors and manufacturing cost.
